PROTEST FOR EQUALITY

SPaRC is an indigenous women-led feminist organization working in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. We walk alongside survivors of gender-based violence, communities healing from conflict, and anyone committed to building a world where dignity isn't a privilege—it's a given.

We Are SPaRC—And We're Glad You're Here

SPaRC stands for Supporting People and Rebuilding Communities, but it's so much more than a name. It's a promise. A commitment. A gathering place for those who believe that indigenous women and girls deserve not just safety, but power. Not just survival, but joy. We were founded in the Chittagong Hill Tracts by indigenous women who were tired of waiting for others to tell our stories, solve our problems, or define our futures. We're feminists, organizers, researchers, storytellers, and community members who know that real change comes from within.

OUR MISSION

To ensure women and girls have access to their social, cultural, economic, political, sexual, and spiritual rights—without prejudice based on age, sex, caste, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. Because every identity deserves respect. Every voice deserves to be heard.

Our Work is Rooted in Love and Action

We believe in showing up—for survivors, for communities, for the next generation. Here's how we do it

Research & Truth-Telling

For too long, stories about indigenous communities have been told by outsiders. We're changing that. Through careful research and documentation, we share the realities indigenous people face—in our own words, from our own perspectives. Our work challenges dominant narratives and puts indigenous voices exactly where they belong: at the center

Movement Building

Real change doesn't happen in isolation—it happens when we come together. We build movements by connecting indigenous women, youth, community leaders, and allies who share our commitment to justice and dignity. Together, we're stronger. Together, we're unstoppable.

Creating Safe Spaces

Everyone deserves a space where they can speak freely, learn without judgment, and heal without shame. Our workshops, trainings, and feminist circles are designed with care— spaces where people can share their stories, ask hard questions, and discover new ways of seeing the world through a feminist and indigenous lens

Busting Myths & Misinformation

Misinformation about indigenous communities isn't just inaccurate—it's harmful. We counter lies and stereotypes by creating content that reflects our truths. Through storytelling, social media, videos, and art, we're reshaping the narrative about who we are and what we deserve.

Bridging Communities

We believe in building bridges, not walls. While we're unapologetic about our values, we also know that lasting change requires dialogue, mutual respect, and the willingness to work across differences. We promote communal harmony while never compromising on our commitment to justice

Understanding CHT and Why We Exist

The Chittagong Hill Tracts is a region of incredible beauty and rich indigenous culture. It's also a region marked by political instability, historical conflict, and ongoing marginalization. Indigenous women and girls here face unique challenges: gender-based violence, communal attacks, systematic discrimination, intergenerational trauma, and limited access to resources and justice.

But here's what often gets left out of that story: resilience. Creativity. Strength. The incredible capacity of communities to heal, organize, and build something better. We exist because indigenous women and girls deserve more than sympathy—we deserve solidarity. More than charity—we deserve justice. More than being subjects of someone else's research—we deserve to define our own narratives and futures.

Every workshop we hold, every story we share, every community member we work with is part of a larger vision: a world where dignity is universal and rights are real.
